Listen to Audio 1.5. You will hear information reports about two animals. Complete Worksheet 1.6 with the information you hear from Audio 1.5. After you inish, compare your answers with your classmates. 

1.What is it? 

Answer: It is a Helmeted Hornbill.

2. To what other species is it related?

Answer: Helmeted Hornbill is a type of aves.

3. What does it look like?

Answer: Helmeted Hornbill has a long tail feather in the middle. Its length is 190 cm from tip of the beak to the tip of the tail. It has a 90 cm wingspan and its weight is 3 kg.

Males have a red featherless patch on the neck, while females have a bluish-white patch.

4. Where do they live? 

Answer: They live in lowland to semi tropical forest.

5. How do they behave? 

Answer: Their laugh can be heard form 2 km away.

6. What do they eat? 

Answer: Helmeted Hornbill eat large fruits from Ficus trees and also small animals.

7. Are they endangered? 

Answer: Yes, they are.

8. What are their predators? 

Answer: Helmeted hornbills’ threats include forest loss, a lack of conservation programs, and frequent hunting.
