Trial security
Head of Public Relations of the South Jakarta District Court, Suharno, said that his party had made various preparations in welcoming the trial scheduled for 09.00 WIB.
One of them is about security during the trial.
"Security (from) the police. We don't want to take risks. So if there is something we don't want, we are prepared," said Suharno, last Saturday.
The South Jakarta District Court has coordinated with the police to provide security if Rizieq's sympathizers come.
Meanwhile, the South Jakarta Metro Police confirmed that it would secure the first trial of Rizieq Shihab's pretrial lawsuit.
"Security has been prepared from the ranks of the South Jakarta Metro Police backed up by Polda Metro Jaya," said South Jakarta Metro Police Chief , Kombes Pol Budi Sartono, Sunday.
Budi said the police would ensure Rizie Shihab's pretrial proceedings were safe and orderly.
The police will also ensure that there is no interference with the South Jakarta District Court officials in carrying out Rizieq Shihab's pretrial hearing.
The number of officers securing as many as 1,610 personnel.
"(A total of) 1,610 joint personnel from the TNI, Polri, and Regional Government are on alert to secure the pretrial hearing tomorrow at the South Jakarta District Court ," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Argo Yuwono, Sunday.
According to Argo, the dispatched personnel are also tasked with maintaining the smooth flow of traffic around the court.
"The security starts from the location of the trial to the direct route arrangement," he said.
