Answer the following questions

1. What is the text about?

Answer: The text tells about waste banks, a way to improve solid waste management.

2. What are the three sections in the garbage’s classification?

Answer: Three sections in the garbage’s classification are non-organic waste; plastic, paper, plus bottles and metal. 

3. What does paragraph two talk about?

Answer: Paragraph two talk about definition of waste bank.

4. What kind of value is referred to in the phrase “This value” in paragraph four?

Answer: “This value” refers to a monetary value given to the weighed non-organic solid waste in the waste bank.

5. Why is it important to set the value of the garbage by the collectors?

Answer: It is important because it is useful to determine how much monetary value we can save in the waste bank.

6. What activities can you find in a waste bank according to the text?  

Answer: Activities can we find in a waste bank:

  • Separating waste into three different sections
  • Weighing the waste
  • Saving the monetary values of the non-organic waste
  • Withdrawing it from our account.

7. What would make the waste bank program a success?

Answer: It would be successful if it is done collectively.

8.  What can you conclude after reading the text?

Answer: From the text above, we can conclude that waste banks are one innovative and collective solution to address the growing problem of solid waste management in Indonesia.

9. If you have an account in a waste bank. What will you do with your deposit?

Answer: If will keep the deposit and withdraw it in case of an emergency.

10. Will you create a waste bank in your neighborhood?

Answer: Yes, I will. It would be great if this program were run together.
